Why steel?
….it’s secure, durable, waterproof, fire resistant. We are able to work with off-the-shelf-materials of mass production, this reduces and local impact on desertification in areas of disaster, and any strain on local supply chains. Steel is also already the worlds’ most recycled building material – there is therefore no plastic waste!
Why mobile?
…100% of our buildings can be redeployed for the next emergency – and the ones after that. We take time to pre-drill every single hole. This means there is no need for electric self-drilling, self-tapping screws that require power tools and make holes that can’t be re-used by future occupants.
Why frameless?
…this means the transport costs can be halved – the design is much lighter. There is therefore no need for expensive lifting/seaming equipment OR heavy foundations to support the frame; in this way we are able to look after our soil. Finally: being frameless means the cladding sheets are integral to the structure, so they won’t get ripped off in a Haboob. We engineer every building for a longer, more flexible and safer life.
